I was right in sweetshop. I'm definitely in trouble.

One thing I didn't mention in sweetshop was that I cut a deep, jagged wound into my thumb, attempting to use the recently removed top of a can of corn to drain the thing. I won't go into my actual feelings when it happened, or the popping sound that I think I heard when the steel bit into my flesh.

Oddly enough, I almost enjoy getting cuts like that: the running around bleeding, the looking for something clean to wrap it in, the application of direct pressure to stop the bleeding. Right now, I almost like having a Band-Aid on my thumb that nearly prevents it from bending. It's such a change from normal -- it's something different for once. If my thumb gets infected, I'm sure I'll change my tune, but right now, I'm not really bothered.
