About This Data

This table shows the number of matches wrestled by women (and relevant non-binary wrestlers) in various promotions and regions in 1956, along with summary statistics.

The number for "matches" isn't the total number of women's matches in that promotion/region, but rather the total number of matches wrestled by all the women in that promotion/region (so a tag match involving four women would count as four matches).

25%, 50% (median), and 75% quantiles are shown to illustrate the distribution of match counts within each promotion/region (and the max number of matches wrestled by a single woman in that promotion/region). There's also a little histogram giving a visual sense of the distribution of match counts across the promotion.

Data is sourced from Cagematch. Only promotions/regions with 5 or more women are included.
