I’ve been meaning to blog about this for weeks, and remembered again today. The girl. Playing violin. In the Kanye West/Twista video.

There’s some CNN-ish background information about her. God, the guy that wrote that really sucked the life out of the story.

Here’s the gist. Not only is she playing violin in a hip-hop video, she’s beautiful. And Jewish. And her name is Miri Ben-Ari. Seriously, people, this kind of crap is driving me crazy. Who knew the 21st century would be like this? I want my goddamn flying car, not a hot Jewish violinist in my rap videos!

God, this is depressing. Louis Menand, in the New Yorker presents evidence that most voters in America don’t know a damn thing about anything. If you like being depressed about stuff, read this article and wallow in it.
